Grow the Game
The Desert Ridge Rattlers Lacrosse Club is committed to growing the game of lacrosse in Arizona. We serve youth athletes ages 5-14 years old who reside or attend a school within the boundaries of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. Our club feeds into the Pinnacle High School Lacrosse program. Many PHS Lacrosse players assist with coaching and help out at learn to play clinics! Rattlers players have the opportunity to act as "ball boys" at Pinnacle HS lacrosse games.
We are a youth club governed by parent organization, Youth Lacrosse of Arizona (YLA).
The YLA oversees 16 youth lacrosse clubs across the Phoenix metro area and Tucson.
Our players are required to live (or attend school) within boundaries defined by YLA. An explanation of age requirements defined by YLA can be found below.
All YLA clubs are required to abide by USA Lacrosse rules.
LEARN-TO-PLAY with the Rattlers!
THE SIMPLEST WAY TO GET STARTED IS TO PICK UP A STICK!
For ages 5-14, our LEARN-TO-PLAY clinics offer a chance to learn the basics of the sport. Players will develop skills and gain confidence to take them onto the lacrosse field.
A typical clinic will cover cradling, passing, catching, shooting, and basic gameplay, usually lasting about an hour. We use tennis balls or soft lacrosse balls.
Though our LEARN-TO-PLAY clinics focus on basic fundamentals, experienced players can always benefit from the skills practice and extra reps with a stick in their hands!
*We provide sticks to those who don't own their own.
